Dr Vincent Khoo

Biography

Dr Vincent Khoo is a Clinical Oncologist at the Royal Marsden NHS Foundation Trust, and Honorary Consultant at St George’s Hospital incorporating the Atkinson Morley Wing. He was previously Head of Department of Clinical Oncology at the Royal Marsden. He is Honorary Reader at the Institute of Cancer Research, and University of London.  He is Honorary Adjunct Professor, Department of Medical Imaging and Radiation Sciences, Monash University and Honorary Associate Professor at the Austin Health and Department of Medicine, University of Melbourne.

He qualified in medicine in 1985 and has worked in clinical oncology in UK, USA and Australia. He specialises in urological cancers and leads the Clinical Trials Unit Urology Chelsea at the Royal Marsden. He is Chief investigator of the international randomised trial (CORE) in oligometastatic disease for breast, lung and prostate cancer. He has led over 50 Phase 1-4 clinical trials and studies.

He is a member of several national and international committees including the previous UK National Cancer Research Institute (NCRI) Clinical and Translational Radiotherapy Group, National Radiotherapy Implementation Group, NCRI Clinical Studies Groups for Prostate Cancer, Renal Cancer and Penile Cancer, Clinical Trials Awards and Advisory Committee (CTACC) Cancer Research UK., UK Familial Prostate Cancer, ESTRO and ECCO scientific sub-committees. He was previous chair of the NCRI Penile Cancer Clinical Studies Group.

He is advisory and reviewer for several cancer funds and international journals. He has research interests in combined modality therapy including systemic targeted and immunotherapy agents, multi-modality imaging, adaptive, image guided and stereotactic radiotherapy.
